Bhindi Masala - Bhindi Fry - Bhindi Recipe - Spicy Okra - Bhendi Masala

Ingredients:
2-3  tsp ghee
1     tsp turmeric powder
2     tsp cumin seeds
1     medium onion - finely chopped
2-3  finely chopped green chilli
2     tsp garam masala
300 gms okra
1     tsp crushed red pepper
3     tsp yogurt
6-7  cashews
salt - as per taste

Recipe:
1. Keep your pan on medium heat.
2. Once pan is hot, add ghee.
3. Once ghee is hot, add cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
4. Add onion, green chili and cook till onion become translucent. 
5. Now add garam masala, okra and mix it well. Let it cook for few minutes.
6. Lastly, add crushed red pepper, yogurt and salt.
7. Garnish it with cashews and serve it hot.

Ghee Recipe

Ghee or Sajuk Tup ( in Marathi ) is considered as a miracle ingredient in Ayurveda. One of the most fragrant ingredient in Indian Cooking, from Biryani to frying Poori, even used to massage newborn babies, healthy for the body and skin, made right at home. Try this recipe and do share your comments.

Ingredients:
2 Unsalted Butter Blocks (500gm)

Recipe:
1. Keep your pan on low heat.
2. Add 2 blocks of unsalted butter.
3. Check if it has froth and remove froth. Now raise the heat to medium.
4. Once the liquid turns clear, turn off the heat. Let it cool down for 5-10 mins.
5. Filter using metal strainer and store.

An Indian flatbread recipe | Roti Recipe | Phulka Recipe | Chapati Recipe | Poli Recipe

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour   2 Cups
Oil                           6 tsp 
Salt                         1.5 tsp approx.
Hot water                1.25 Cup

Recipe:
1. Take a big bowl.
2. Add whole wheat flour, salt and oil to that and mix it well.
3. Now add boiling water slowly and mix it with spoon.
4. Knead the dough till it is soft.
5. Now wrap the dough in plastic bag or Ziploc for 15 mins.
6. Take small portion of the dough and make a small ball.
7. By using rolling pin flatten the ball.
8. By using one small bowl, make small small chapatis out of it.
9. Keep the pan on high flame and roast the poli from both sides.
10. Serve immediately.

Rawa Ladoo
Diwali and Rava Laddoo are inseparable. This delicious sweet is mouth watering and a popular item with kids too. Its made with semolina, sugar, clarified butter and lots of love :)

Ingredients:
1 Cup Rava/Suji
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut
1/2 Cup Clarified Butter/Ghee
1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
1 tbsp Almond Slices
Water: As Required.

Recipe:
1. Keep your pan on medium heat. add rava and clarified butter/ghee to that pan.
2. Stir it continuously for few minutes. 
3. When it starts changing color, add coconut and cook it for another 2-3 minutes.
3. Once it is done. keep it aside.
4. Take thick bottom vessel and add sugar to that. Now add water slowly so that our all sugar is get wets.
5. Keep it stirring continuously for few minutes.
6. Once it starts caramelizing, our sugar water is ready.
7. Now add this hot sugar water in rava mixture.
8. Add  cardamom powder, almond slices and mix it well. Let the mixture cool down completely.
9. Now roll our ladoo's :) and our dish is ready.

Moong Daal Tadka
Moong Dal / Daal is very popular in India and a very common ingredient in the kitchen. Rich in Protein, this daal will not only make you feel special but popular too !! You can even have it as a soup. Do try this at home and let me know your feedback.

Ingredients:
3 cups of boiled moong daal
1 big tomato, finely chopped
3-4 green chillies
2-3 gloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida / hing
1 tbsp goda masala ( maharashtrian masala )
1/4 tsp red chillies powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
coriander for garnishing

Recipe:
1. Keep the pan on medium heat.
2. Add 2 tsp of oil. Once oil is hot, add the spices, followed by garlic and green chillies.
3. Mix well and cook for around 1 minute.
4. Add tomatoes. Mix well. Let it cook for another minute.
5. Now add the moong daal ( boiled )
6. Add little water, about half cup.
7. Add remaining spices. Salt as per taste.
8. Bring to boil.
9. Garnish with coriander
10. Serve hot with rice or bread.
